Mississauga Blues at the 2012 Olympics

With several million people in London, Jill and I did not expect to meet fellow members of the Mississauga Blues Rugby Club. We should have known better. As we lined up at Canada house on Trafalgar square, Alex (“English”) and Sonia MacFarlane happened by.  London was obvioulsy the place to be this summer, nd especially if you were a Canadian women’s soccer player!

Physiomed Erin Mills is located in the Erin Mills Fitness Centre at the corner of Erin Mills Pkwy and Millcreek Dr. They can be reached at 905-542-7442.

Physiomed Erin Mills, one of the club’s Premier partners, will be at training on Monday August 13th to provide FREE computerized analysis, movement screens, and fitting for orthotics to all club members and their families.

Physiomed will also provide promotional savings for products and services as part of the event.

Physiomed staff will be on-hand at Streetsville Secondary School at 6:30.  Appointments are not necessary.  All club members are encouraged to take advantage of this great opportunity!

Fall 7s Registration has started!

The Mississauga Blues are launching a 7s program for the fall of 2012 for both boys and girls aged 14 to 18.

The club aims to start a house league within the club in addition to participating in tournaments around southern Ontario.

Registration for the Fall 7s League is due by August 25th.

The deadline for 2012 Blues Gear items is August 3rd!!!!  Orders need to be placed at training.  Sizing samples are avaiable at the order desk.

Ontario Blues Senior men to take on Ontario U19s in Mississauga!

The Ontario Blues senior mens rugby programme will field a development xv this Wednesday night against the Ontario U19 team in what will be a very constructive exercise for both teams.

The U19s, who fly to Edmonton in less than two weeks to attempt to defend their 2011 title, will get a challenging match ahead of this competition, while the senior mens side gets a chance to assess many of the players trying to break into the side for 2012.
