In the first-half the Blues took advantage of the tired English side.  The hot sun and long days clearly effected the powerhouse from south London as the Blues scored on their first possession.  The Kainoa Lloyd try was a glimpse into what was to follow.  Superior running lines, ball-handling and defensive organization gave the Blues a commanding 35-5 lead at the half.  Try scorers included Daniel Wright, Joey Difilippo, and David Phan.  Josh Maharaj contributed with 7 conversions.

Glyn coach Matt Hawkes was able to motivate his troops at half-time as the Glyn boys came out flying.  They took advantage of mistakes by the Blues and capitalize again and again.  Experience and composure allowed the touring side to close the gap to 35-33 in the Blues favour.  The final two minutes saw Glyn pressure the Blues consistently with little result.  The Blues defence held strong and maintained the lead until the final whistle.

Glyn has established a great relationship with the Mississauga Blues RFC and Streetsville Secondary School over the past 5 years with multiple coaching exchanges and competitive matches both in Canada and in England.  This year is no different.  Follow the match four Glyn players will remain in Mississauga with their coach and become members of the Mississauga Blues.
